    Andela is accepting applications for its Fellow Class XIII in Nigeria


    If you have a passion for technology, improving the lives of fellow citizens and of helping to improve the lives of all Africans, then you should not hesitate to apply for the Thirteenth Andela Fellowship in Nigeria, the last recruitment exercise for 2015.

    The Andela Nigeria Fellow Class XIII is a 4-year, paid opportunity to master the craft of professional software development while working for leading tech companies around the globe.

    The road to becoming a pro software developer begins with a screening process after which successful applicants will be invited to participate in a free, two-week-long Boot Camp led by senior developers from some of the world’s top engineering institutions.

    At the Boot Camp, which has been described as the most rigorous training experiences in the world, applicants will be taught the fundamentals of programming, with the most impressive applicants invited to become an Andela Fellow.

    This is then followed by Andela’s paid software development training program where the Fellows will receive at least 1,000 hours of hands-on training in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web and mobile software development skills for the first three months.

    Thereafter, the Fellows will work on practice projects in collaboration with other Fellows in the program in order to enhance their teamwork and problem-solving skills.

    The recruitment schedule for Andela Class XIII is as follows

    Application Deadline: January 1, 2015.

    HomeStudy/Aptitude Test: December 1, 2015 – January 15, 2016.

    Interviews: January 25, 2016 – February 3, 2016.

    Bootcamp: February 8, 2016 – February 16, 2016.

    Within 6 months, Fellows would have gained confidence that is sufficient enough to have them placed as a remote Junior Developer on project teams at top tech companies across the world.

    The Fellows will continue their professional development training and employment with Andela for a period of four years.

    Andela Graduates are expected to be tomorrow’s most successful leaders both on the continent of Africa and around the world.

    Andela, which it has worked with global enterprises like Microsoft and startups like U2 & Udacity, hopes to transform the global technology landscape by connecting top employers with untapped talent around the world.
