    Address your problem before the warranty expires


    If you buy a new computer and it has problem right out of the box, certainly contact the manufacturer’s tech support to have them troubleshoot and see if there might be an issue with the computer itself.


    The first thing they will likely do is have you run a diagnostic procedure. Most new computers offer this as a special start-up item that can be accessed as the computer boots or by using a utility that you download from their support site.
    These diagnostics will run some tests to make sure things like your computer memory, hard drive and other hardware components are working properly.
    If they don’t detect any issues using this method they will likely take you through uninstalling and re-installing Firefox to see if that clears up the problem.
    If it doesn't, you may be looking at using the system recovery software to reload the system back to the way it was when you first bought it. This is to rule out any software issues that might be a result of software you have installed yourself.

    All of this can be time consuming and a bit of a pain. But you want to make sure you have a good working computer while it is still under warranty. If you have faulty hardware it’s not likely to get any better. In fact, it is likely to get a lot worse so dealing with the issue now is your best course of action.
