    Seedstars World Unveils Finalists For Seedstars Dar Es Salaam



    Seedstars World has unveiled the finalists for the Tanzanian leg of its startup competition which will take place on November 5, 2015 at Buni Innovation hub located in the Tanzania Commission of Science and Technology Building.


    In no particular order, the finalists are Time Tickets, Tango TV, Mbezi Recycling, Lemon, Juabar, Kaliko, Guumzo, Agrinfo, East Africa Fruit Farms & Co and Edu-Taarifa.

    From 3 – 5 November, the finalists will be invited to learn, test and try in a 2-day bootcamp, which will be filled with disruptive tech, mentorship from key players in finance, legals, marketing, IT and entrepreneurship, and inspirational keynotes in preparation for the final pitch.

    The best entrepreneurs from the bootcamp will be selected for the final event where they will pitch in front of a multinational and brilliant jury consisting of Marcello Schermer, Regional Manager Africa, Seedstars World; Warwick Brooker, Head of Banking Business, Stanbic Bank Tanzania; Marsha Msuya, Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Total Tanzania, and a host of others for a chance to come out tops.

    The winning finalist will get the sole ticket needed to compete with other regional winners from across the world for US$1.5million in investment at the global finals of the startup competition in Geneva, Switzerland next year.

    The event will be organized by Buni Innovation hub in partnership with Stanbic Bank Tanzania and supported by Nefrids Africa and Tranzict.

    This year, Switzerland-based Seedstars World will travel to 52 countries across the world, promoting and investing in startups through its startup competition.
