Nest to provide African Start-ups a safe haven in Hong Kong

Nest, an accelerator involved in Seed and Early Stage Venture investments, has announced it’ll provide African startups a safe haven in Hong Kong as a result of a partnership with co-working spaces, Nairobi Garage in Kenya and Cape Town Garage in South Africa.

The partnership will see startups housed in Nairobi Garage and Cape Town Garage provided with access to a central co-working space and support structure whenever they visit Hong Kong or plan to launch operations there.

Aaron Fu, Nest’s Managing Partner for Africa said, “On one hand, we see startups from Africa with both ambition and ability to scale globally and on the other hand, we see the potential for solutions developed by startups in Asia to deploy into Africa.

He went further to say that “This partnership allows us to leverage the resources of both organizations to create another piece towards an ecosystem which will facilitate the potential of both those trends”.

The partnership will also give Nest’s teams the ability to use the services and resources of both Nairobi Garage and Cape Town Garage.

Nest, which only recently opened its Nairobi Office within Nairobi Garage, aims to foster Africa’s best entrepreneurial talents.
